Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Louis Têtu is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Coveo. Mr. Têtu joined as investor and Chairman in 2008, and as Chief Executive Officer in 2012. Prior to Coveo, Mr. Têtu co-founded Taleo Corporation, a NASDAQ listed provider of cloud software for talent and human capital management which was acquired by Oracle. Mr. Têtu held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors from Taleo Corporation’s inception in 1999 through 2005, and was Taleo Corporation’s Executive Chairman from 2005 to 2007. Prior to Taleo, Mr. Têtu was President of Baan SCS, the supply-chain management solutions division of Baan, a global enterprise software company. This followed Baan’s acquisition of Berclain Group Inc., which Mr. Têtu co-founded in 1989 and where he served as President until 1996. Mr. Têtu obtained an engineering degree from Laval University in 1985 and in 1997 was honored by Laval University for his outstanding social contributions and business achievements. He also received the 2006 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year award in the Technology and Communication category.

Mr. Têtu serves on the board and human resources and compensation committees of Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. (CircleK), and on the board of iA Financial Corporation Inc. and Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. Mr. Têtu is also involved in private equity within the technology industry, and Chairman of the Board of PetalMD, a developer of social platforms for the medical sector.

Director, President, and Chief Technology Officer

Laurent Simoneau is co-founder, President, and Chief Technology Officer of Coveo, a position he has held since 2011. Mr. Simoneau served as Chief Executive Officer of Coveo from its incorporation in 2004 until 2011. Prior to Coveo, Mr. Simoneau was Chief Technology Officer of Copernic, an early leader in desktop search, where he oversaw Copernic’s product strategy and directed the research and development of core technologies. Mr. Simoneau also served as Chief Operating Officer at Copernic during which he successfully orchestrated the spin-off of Copernic’s enterprise search software division in 2005 into what is now Coveo. Mr. Simoneau holds a Master of Business Administration from the Université du Québec. Mr. Simoneau serves on the board of directors of Qohash Inc., a data security software development company.

Chief Financial Officer and Secretary

Jean Lavigueur, CPA, CA, serves as Chief Financial Officer of Coveo, a position he has held since 2006. Prior to joining Coveo, Mr. Lavigueur co-founded Taleo Corporation, a provider of cloud software for talent and human capital management, acquired by Oracle in 2012, where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer from its inception in 1999 through 2005. Prior to Taleo Corporation, Mr. Lavigueur was Chief Financial Officer of Baan SCS, the supply-chain management solutions division of Baan, a global enterprise software company with more than 5,000 employees. This followed Baan’s acquisition of Berclain Group, Inc., a provider of supply chain management solutions, where he also held the role of Chief Financial Officer. Preceding his employment with Berclain Group, Mr. Lavigueur held senior positions in the audit and tax divisions of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP), a global provider of industryfocused assurance, tax and advisory services. Mr. Lavigueur serves on the board of directors of each of Opsens Inc. and Vention Inc. Mr. Lavigueur has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Laval University and has been a Chartered Professional Accountant since 1986.

Guy Gauvin

Chief Operating Officer

Guy Gauvin is the Chief Operating Officer of Coveo, a position he has held since he joined Coveo in 2012. Prior to Coveo, from 1999 to 2012, Mr. Gauvin worked at Taleo Corporation, a provider of cloud 113 software for talent and human capital management, acquired by Oracle in 2012. During his tenure at Taleo Corporation, he served as Executive Vice President, Global Services, held the role of Chief Operating Officer and was involved in leading the integration of several acquisitions globally. Prior to Taleo Corporation, Mr. Gauvin was Vice President of Worldwide Services at Baan SCS, the supply-chain management solutions division of Baan, a global enterprise software company with more than 5,000 employees. Mr. Gauvin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Laval University.

Nicolas Darveau-Garneau

Nicolas Darveau-Garneau

Chief Growth and Strategy Officer

Mr. Darveau-Garneau is a former Google executive, where he worked 11 years and most recently served as Chief Evangelist, overseeing the global team responsible for advising and working with executives at Google’s top advertisers, helping them improve their global digital strategy through the creation of many innovative digital marketing best practices that leverage data and AI technology.

Mr. Darveau-Garneau has been an Internet entrepreneur since 1995. He was part of the founding team of MSN.com; was the co-founder of four companies (imix.com, Liquor.com, BigDeal.com, and Fanhood) and an investor/advisor in over 50 Internet companies. Before falling in love with the Internet, he was a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. and a senior equity analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein, a top ranked Wall Street firm.

Nick holds a Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Harvard Business School, and has been a guest lecturer at Northwestern Kellogg University, University of Toronto Rotman School of Management, and a frequent public speaker on topics such as machine learning and disruptive technologies.

Mr. Darveau Garneau currently serves on the board of directors of two public companies, the TMX Group Limited (TSX: TMX) and the iA Financial Corporation Inc. (TSX: IAG).

Chief Revenue Officer

Tom Melzl serves as the Chief Revenue Officer at Coveo. Mr. Melzl joined Coveo in 2019 as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, and was promoted to Chief Revenue Officer in April 2020. Prior to joining Coveo, Mr. Melzl was the Chief Revenue Officer at FaceFirst, a U.S. face recognition platform company, from March 2015 to March 2019. Mr. Melzl leads the entire Coveo sales organization, including our enterprise sales, sales engineering, and sales development teams, and brings over 20 years of sales and sales management experience leading high-performing teams at software companies delivering knowledge management, big data, and AI solutions to customers worldwide. Mr. Melzl has a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in Ohio.

Nicholas Goode

Chief Corporate Development Officer

Nicholas Goode serves as the Chief Corporate Development Officer at Coveo. In his role, he works closely with the leadership team to assist with corporate strategy and M&A activities. Prior to joining Coveo as Chief Corporate Development Officer in June 2020, Mr. Goode held the positions of associate, senior associate, and principal at Evergreen Coast Capital, a Menlo Park, California-based private equity firm, between January 2016 and April 2020. While at Evergreen Coast Capital, Mr. Goode helped to oversee existing investments, and also identified, evaluated, and executed new acquisition and investment opportunities. Prior to Evergreen Coast Capital, Mr. Goode was an associate at Genstar Capital, a private equity firm based in San Francisco. Mr. Goode has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated Magna cum Laude.

Chief Marketing Officer

Sheila Morin is the Chief Marketing Officer at Coveo. Sheila joined Coveo in 2021 as Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Brand. Prior to joining Coveo in 2021, Ms. Morin was the Chief Marketing Officer of Loop Industries between September and December 2020, and served as Chief Marketing Officer at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group on an interim basis from 2019 to 2020, where she oversaw branding, marketing strategies, fan engagement, social media, consumer experience, consumer intelligence as well as advertising and content. Ms. Morin was a Senior Director at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, a live entertainment company, from 2017 to 2019, Senior Director at Danone, a food and beverage company, from 2014 to 2017 and held various positions at L’Oreal during her tenure with it, in Montreal and Paris, from 2002 to 2014. In her role as Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Brand, Ms. Morin is responsible for the Company’s brand platform globally, including brand image, message and narrative as well as corporate marketing and communication. With her career spanning over 20 years, she has extensive experience in marketing, branding, strategy and sales. Ms. Morin has a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC – École des Hautes Études Commerciales.

Dominic Lajoie

Chief Information Officer

Dominic Lajoie serves as the Chief Information Officer at Coveo, a position he has held since 2007. Mr. Lajoie was Coveo’s Senior Vice President, Global Services before becoming our Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining Coveo, Mr. Lajoie spent more than 10 years as a strategic consultant for CGI and Fujitsu in various management roles, helping world-wide organizations build business solutions with innovative technologies. In his role as Chief Information Officer of Coveo, Mr. Lajoie is responsible for defining and delivering a digital strategy and capabilities across the enterprise to enable Coveo’s growth initiatives. Mr. Lajoie has a Certificate in Computer Sciences from Laval University, and is a certified Scrum Master.

Richard Tessier

Senior Vice President, Products

Richard Tessier is co-founder of Coveo and serves as the Senior Vice President, Products at Coveo, a position he has held since 2008. With 20 years of experience in the search industry, Mr. Tessier has a keen understanding of how search can improve business processes and outcomes and has applied this knowledge to developing applications. Prior to his role at Coveo, Mr. Tessier was Director of Software Development at Copernic, an early leader in desktop search, where he oversaw the enterprise search software division. In 2005, he played a key role in the successful spin-off of this division into what is now Coveo. Richard has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Laval University.

Marc Sanfaçon

Senior Vice President, Technology

Marc Sanfaçon is co-founder of Coveo and Coveo’s Senior Vice President, Technology, a position he has held since joining Coveo in 2004. With approximately 30 years of experience in application development, much of it in search, Mr. Sanfaçon is also responsible for Coveo’s cloud operations. Mr. Sanfaçon is involved in developing apps that make search pervasive throughout organizations. 114 Previously, Mr. Sanfaçon held the role of Director of Technologies for Copernic, an early leader in desktop search, where he directed the development efforts for Copernic’s core search technologies. Prior to joining Copernic, he held the role of Senior Software Developer with the Berclain Group Inc., a leading provider of supply chain management solutions.

Karine Hamel

Senior Vice President, Finance

Karine Hamel, CPA, CA, is Coveo’s Senior Vice President, Finance. Ms. Hamel joined Coveo in 2017 as Director of Financial Reporting, before being promoted to Vice President, Finance in 2018. She has held the position of Senior Vice President, Finance since January 2019. Prior to joining Coveo in 2017, Ms. Hamel was a Senior Manager – Audit at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a global provider of industryfocused assurance, tax and advisory services. She held senior positions on large audit accounts managing extensive teams with team members from around the world. As the lead of Coveo’s finance team, Ms. Hamel provides leadership and vision on the financial affairs of Coveo. Ms. Hamel holds a Bachelor in Accounting and a Specialized Graduate Diploma (DESS) from the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. She is also a Chartered Professional Accountant since 2005.

Elaine Cobb

Senior Vice President, Customer Success

Elaine Cobb is Coveo’s Senior Vice President, Customer Success. Ms. Cobb joined Coveo in April 2020 as Vice President, Customer Success, and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Customer Success in January 2021. Prior to joining Coveo, Ms. Cobb was the Executive Vice President, Client Success at Comscore, a media measurement and analytics company and trusted industry partner for planning, transacting and evaluating media across platforms, from 2019 to 2020, and the Senior Vice President, Custom Solutions at Comscore from 2015 to 2019. Ms. Cobb has more than 20 years of sales and service experience in digital marketing solutions and analytics. In her role as the Executive Vice President, Client Success at Comscore, Ms. Cobb led the custom solutions and syndicated servicing practice working with leading technology and media companies, agencies and brands. Ms. Cobb has a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing and finance from McGill University.

Anne Thériault

Vice President, Legal and Assistant Secretary

Anne Thériault is Coveo’s Vice President, Legal and Assistant Secretary. Ms. Thériault joined Coveo in 2014 as Legal Counsel, and was promoted to Senior Director, Legal in January 2020. She has held the position of Vice President, Legal, since January 2021. With three certifications in data privacy issued by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, she leads the team that manages Coveo’s legal affairs, including regulatory compliance initiatives, Coveo’s intellectual property and insurance strategy, commercial negotiations with customers, strategic partners and suppliers, and corporate affairs. Ms. Thériault has been actively involved in the completion of several rounds of funding and secondary offerings, Coveo’s acquisition of Tooso, Inc. and the negotiation of credit facilities. Ms. Thériault graduated with honors from Laval University’s Faculty of Law. Upon completing her law degree and a semester at Schulich’s School of Law at Dalhousie University, she went on to work at a prestigious law firm before completing her Master of Business Administration at Laval University. Ms. Thériault serves on the board of directors of a not-for-profits, 2 Degrés.

Claude-Antoine Tremblay

Vice President, Human Resources

Claude-Antoine Tremblay is Coveo’s Vice President, Human Resources. Mr. Tremblay joined Coveo in 2010 as Executive Assistant and Human Resources Manager, was promoted first to Manager, Talent Community in 2012, then to Director, Talent and Community in 2015, and finally to Director, Human Resources in 2016. He has held the position of Vice President, Human Resources since January 2021. In his role as Vice President, Human Resources, Mr. Tremblay is focused on aligning business objectives with talent and building the best employee experience for Coveo’s global workforce. Mr. Tremblay has been instrumental in shaping a thriving human resources department and vibrant company culture at Coveo. Mr. Tremblay holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Relations from Laval University.
